Water Kefir is now available in Bangalore!! After a lot of trials and errors and losing money multiple times to scammers we were able to procure big healthy grains.

Unlike the grains you find with other vendors, these are big ones and so it is super easy to use them. In our experience, the tiny grains always tend to gets lost while filtering. And over time, you run out of them.

These babies have been showered with a lot of organic jaggery water, organic sugar, and some molasses. So, they are growing very happily in their containers. And they are ready to ferment the moment you take them home. Our grains are alive and fully hydrated so they can start their task right away. No more waiting to rehydrate grains!

How to use Water kefir grains?

If you are looking to make your food habits healthier and nutritious, come and get some of these grains.
You will get a spoonful of water kefir grains and they can ferment half a litre of jaggery water within 24 hours. These are big grains and they will multiply fast.

Do you prefer a fizzy drink instead of a mild one? Filter the fermented drink after 24 hours ad stick in a glass bottle inside the fridge for 2-3 days. If you like to add flavour, add a piece of ginger or lemon to the bottle. Just make sure you burp the jar every day by opening it at least once. Else the fizz build-up may burst your bottle!!

If you are going away for a week and don’t need to use the grains, mix 4-5 spoons of jaggery into 300 ml water and put the jar with grains in the fridge.

Using water kefir to prepare vegan kefir milk.

To ferment vegan milk such as Coconut milk, Soy Milk, and peanut milk, follow the below process.

  1. Ferment water kefir using sugar and water.
  2. Separate the grains from the fermented water.
  3. Add a cup of this fermented water to a litre of vegan milk of your choice.
  4. Add a few spoons of sugar or jaggery to this mixture since most vegan milk don’t have enough sugar
  5. Let this mix sit for 24 hours.
  6. After 24 hours, the fermented milk is ready, refrigerate and use as required.
